Professional Certificate Programs
Professional certificate programs are an excellent opportunity for teachers looking to boost their career development. These programs are often tailored to educators’ needs, and can be completed without interrupting one’s teaching schedule. The nine-credit Professional Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders program, for example, is offered entirely online and provides the coursework needed to be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Certificate programs can also be a good starting point for those who are unsure about pursuing an entire degree program. Graduate students may take as many or as few credits as they would like to complete their certificate. For instance, if you decide that you want to pursue further study at the doctoral level after earning your master's degree in Education, you might try out the Educational Technology PhD Certificate Program: Qualitative Research Methods.

The most important thing to know about applying for a Professional Certificate program is that you're applying for admission to the university. When you submit your application, you're joining a community of learners dedicated to meeting their goals and preparing for a successful career.
Some things to keep in mind:
Are there specific admissions requirements? The answer varies by program. Some programs have specific admissions requirements, including prerequisites and minimum GPA.
What are the application deadlines? There are two main deadlines: one for financial aid consideration and another that's the final deadline for non-aid applicants. Be sure you understand which deadline your program follows so that you can submit your application by its appropriate deadline. You should also be aware of any other relevant dates (such as when classes begin).
How do I apply? It’s easy! Just fill out an online application form here and pay the $60 fee when prompted at the end of the form. We’ll take care of rolling out the red carpet—or at least sending you an email confirming that we received your application!
